Seoulscape
This moving-image work follows the landscapes of Seoul, capturing the pressure and instability the city imposes on the individual. Through a slow gaze, the work observes Seoul, tracing the congestion, anonymity, and normative pressure beneath the city’s surface, as well as the feeling of the individual gradually becoming smaller within it.

The video begins with the open landscape of the Han River, but gradually moves through roads, tunnels, and dense clusters of buildings, as if being drawn into the city’s density. What starts as an open view slowly converges into compression, congestion, anxiety, and suffocation. This process reaches a state of breathlessness, overlapping with the psychological landscape of an individual who must hide, reduce, and compress themselves to fit within society.
