GROUNDTAKE reflects on an identity that is constantly shaped by the outside world. No being exists independently. We form boundaries through our relationships with others, and continue to change through those relationships. Throughout our lives, we keep trying to secure a place for ourselves. In this process, the work considers the hierarchies and anxieties that arise around occupation and belonging, and asks whether a complete and stable self is ever truly possible.

<땅따먹기>는 끊임없이 외부 세계에 의해 형성되는 정체성에 대해 성찰한다. 어떤 존재도 독립적으로 존재하지 않는다. 우리는 타인과의 관계 속에서 경계를 형성하고, 그 관계를 통해 계속해서 변화한다. 삶 전반에 걸쳐 우리는 스스로를 위한 자리를 확보하려 애쓴다. 이 작업은 그 과정에서 점유와 소속을 둘러싸고 발생하는 위계와 불안을 바라보며, 완전하고 안정적인 자아가 과연 가능할 수 있는지를 묻는다.
